There are lots and lots of kinds of divination out there. Some are used to see things now, some to see things in the future. Perhaps the most classic kind of present divination is intended to discern the will of God or the gods. When divining in Shadows in the Fog, you have a number of options. If you are looking at the present (as with Scrying?), you simply open a channel by whatever means, and the magical resolution then describes what you perceive. If you are divining the future, you can try to get the resolution to hint at what will happen; it is usually most effective to do this with yes/no questions. If you want, of course, you can essentially Assert Reality on the basis of the divination, by announcing in advance your basic reading and then going to resolution to explain what’s really going on. Of course, if your reading is terribly clever and not projecting too far ahead, the other players can ensure that your conclusions are accurate. Just be careful, if the PC is the one describing the perceptions, not to get overly specific; leave the Host wiggle-room or she’ll kick.
