Phoenix Park Murders

An extremely important event in the history of IrishHomeRule and the ParnellAffair.

"On Saturday, 6th May, 1882, the incoming Chief Secretary for Ireland, Lord Frederick Cavendish, arrived in Dublin. That evening as he and the Under-Secretary, T. H. Burke, were walking through the Phoenix Park to their Lodges they were stabbed to death."
