John Nevil Maskelyne

Stage magician, 1839–1917, worked a double act with GeorgeACooke (1825–1904) at their EgyptianHall. Maskelyne and Cooke billed themselves as 'Royal Illusionists and Anti-Spiritualists', and apart from their work as illusionists they were also in the business of demonstrating that spiritualist mediums? were frauds.
