George A. Cooke

Stage magician, 1825–1904, worked a double act with JohnNevilMaskelyne (1839–1917) at their EgyptianHall. Maskelyne and Cooke billed themselves as 'Royal Illusionists and Anti-Spiritualists', and apart from their work as illusionists they were also in the business of demonstrating that spiritualist mediums? were frauds.
