About the Author

Chris Lehrich is an academic historian and theorist who writes on the history of magic and occultism, primarly in Early Modern Europe, but elsewhere as well. He is the author of The Language Of Demons And Angels: Cornelius Agrippa's Occult Philosophy (Leiden: Brill, 2003), as well as various articles and reviews of scholarly works. Most recently, he is the author of The Occult Mind: Magic in Theory and Practice (Ithaca, NY: Cornell University Press, 2007).

He was formerly very active on The Forge, an online forum for gaming theory and criticism. He now occasionally maintains a blog on gaming and theory.
